It has been estimated that 80% of people will experience back pain at some point in their lives (1). In fact, low back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide according to the Global Burden of Disease. With staggering statistics such as these it has become ever more important to not just treat back pain but to teach those with back pain how they can help themselves.
